Reach 1 Teach 1 Youth Mentoring Program, is an organization that is working to help the youth in our community grow in good character, stature, and leadership. We are here to work with young people and offer them a safe environment all while teaching them life skills and career goals to engage in. This program is designed to help improve their self-esteem, raise confidence, give them a place to express themselves, and explore issues that our young people face out in the world today. We feel that by allowing them a place to feel safe and have their voices heard is a great way to help them find relief from social and academic pressures as well as give them a sense of solidarity with their peers. We are committed to the growth and development of the younger generations now and in the future, but we need your help.
Here are ways that you can get involved:
- Make a Gift – You can make a difference in our Youth’s growth and development. We are currently needing meals for Monday night group meetings, Monetary donations are always welcomed and much needed, tickets or passes to local athletic events, museums, plays or maybe you know of a facility that would donate some time to use their space for meetings or events
- Volunteer – Your time, talent or expertise can make a real impact! We are always looking for people to come speak at our sessions, to help introduce the kids to different career paths, and encourage them to chase their dreams.
- Become a Mentor – Great mentors come in all forms and kids in our community need you now. Be committed to developing our youth now and in the future.
- Become a Mentee – Mentees are self-motivated individuals who are committed to growth and development. Take ownership of your learning and development needs.
